Clergy

RECTOR: The Rev. Christopher L. Ashmore

Fr. Kip Ashmore came to Trinity Church as Rector in February 1998. He was born in Pittsfield, Illinois. After High School in Rockville, Maryland he spent his undergraduate years at the College of William & Mary and the University of Maryland (BS Ed). His theological education was taken at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv). He did further theological study at Princeton Theological Seminary (Princeton, New Jersey), the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest (Austin, Texas), and Nashotah House (Nashotah, Wisconsin).

Fr. Ashmore was ordained Deacon in June 1978 and priest in January 1979, both in the Diocese of West Texas, He has previously served parishes in Brownsville, TX and San Antonio, TX. He currently serves as a member of the Standing Committee, a member if the Diocesan Council, Chairman of the Department of Christian Education, a member of the Commission on Ministry, and is a Deputy to General Convention 2009.

Fr. Ashmore is married to the former Kathryn Louella Paullin (K-Lou), and they have two adult children, Jessica and Kevin.

 

DEACON: The Rev. Dr. Thomas W. Langford

Dr. Langford has served as deacon at Trinity Church since June 1996.  He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and educate at the Carnegie Institute of Technology, Wharton School of Finance and Commerce (BS Econ and MBA) and the University of Pennsylvania (PhD).

Dr. Langord was ordained in the Diocese of Springfield in 1987.  He has previously served parishes in Springfield.  He is currently involved with various diocesan activities, including as Dean of the Springfield School for Ministry, director of the Division of Mission and Worship, and member of the Commission on Ministry, Department of Finance, and other departments.  He also serves as secretary of the Springfield chapter of the American Anglican Council.

Dr. Lanford is married to the former Elisabeth L. Braithwaite and they have seven adult children.
